Learning Coach: History

M/UPR £23,719 - £39,405 pa
Required for September 2019

Studio West is an exciting studio school, which opened in September 2014. As part of Kenton School’s Academy, Studio West cater for around 300 students aged between 11 and 19 with student numbers increasing year on year.

At Studio West, in addition to mainstream qualifications (including GCSEs, A Levels, and Occupational and professional qualifications), we offer an innovative and personalised curriculum for every student focused on developing key employability and life skills required by employers. Much of our curriculum is delivered through project based learning, working alongside our business partners and our mission is to make sure that every student who leaves Studio West does so with a university or college place, an apprenticeship or a job.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to deliver our History curriculum with the ability to teach Geography and RE. This is an exciting opportunity for either a newly qualified or experienced teacher to work with our team of exceptional Learning Coaches to design and deliver focussed sessions that support the learning outcomes of our students whilst promoting a better understanding of the real world application of the History curriculum.

We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and fully committed teacher who will strive to develop excellent relationships with all students whilst delivering inspirational and challenging lessons at all times. The ability to teach GCSE to A level is essential and we very much welcome applications from professionals who feel they can match the needs and vision of Studio West.

In return we offer the opportunity to work in an exciting, fast paced, forward-thinking school, in a supportive environment committed to the development of both students and our staff.
