Last night Years 11 and 13 celebrated their Prom, with a trip down the River Tyne on a fabulous party boat! The night began with mocktails at the Pitcher and Piano, followed by a delicious BBQ on the boat, as the sun set. The millennium bridge opening was the spectacle of the night, accompanied by a thrilling display from the feature fountains, thanks to the Great Exhibition of the North.
There was plenty of dancing and loads of laughter. Everyone looked very glamorous in their snappy suits and sparkly dresses! After the pressure of exams, it was great for everyone to have the chance to relax and celebrate together. And we were all highly entertained by Ethan Bernard’s awesome skills on the dance floor.
To the delight of the crowd, Claire Cooper and Brian Stevens were crowned Prom Queen and King. Claire wowed us all with an amazing lilac and diamante princess gown, while Brian looked sharp in his light pink suit.
What a brilliant way to end the year! Staff would like to wish all students a wonderful summer, and the best of luck with their future plans.
