Part-Time (0.4), Required for September 2017

Qualified Teachers: £8,986 - £15,300 pa

Unqualified Teachers: £6,584 - £10,413 pa

Studio West is an exciting new studio school, which opened in September 2014. Sponsored by Kenton Multi Academy Trust which incorporates Kenton School, an extremely successful secondary school, Studio West cater for around 200 students aged between 11 and 19.

At Studio West, in addition to mainstream qualifications (including GCSEs, A Levels, and Occupational and professional qualifications), we offer an innovative and personalised curriculum for every student focused on developing key employability and life skills required by employers. Our mission it to make sure that every student who leaves Studio West does so with a university or college place, an apprenticeship or a job.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to support the delivery of our Computer Science curriculum at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. This is an exciting opportunity for a computing professional to work with our team of exceptional Learning Coaches to design and deliver focussed sessions that support the learning outcomes of our students whilst promoting professional programming standards and a better understanding of the real world application of the Computer Science curriculum.

Working closely with our expert Learning Coach (Computer Science), the successful candidate will be an experienced computing professional with a comprehensive portfolio of recent projects in an Object Orientated Programming language. The candidate will have the ability to clearly explain complex programming concepts/approaches to groups of students, a clear understanding of the current issues faced by the computing industry and demonstrable experience of the full software development cycle.

As this role will involve close working with students, the successful candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to create and deliver engaging materials for students of different abilities.
