Year 9 have been taking part in THE KEY project at school. This is a youth programme that awards young people with money to spend on a project of their choice. Throughout the planning process students improve on their key skills and team working.
In order to get the money they must deliver a presentation to a panel of Key Facilitators about their chosen project plan. There are 4 stages to THE KEY project
- Stage one £250
- Stage two £500
- Stage three £1000
- Stage four £2000
The year 9 enrichment group have just completed their stage 1 project and have been awarded £179.48 for their project. They decided to bake cakes and plan some games for a charity bake sale at school to raise money for Cancer Research and they successfully raised over £15. They also planned to go bowling at Metro Centre and whilst there had a Shakeaholic.
Well done year 9! ☺
